Thanks for Your Interest in Giving

First of all, thanks for having an interest in helping us in the ministry the Lord is moving us into.

The reason I want you to read this before you decide to give is for the purpose of full disclosure. I want to be clear and upfront about what I am doing and how I am doing it. I don’t want any secrets or misunderstandings getting in between us because I value our friendship too much.

This is a ministry

First and foremost, this is a ministry. I will be ministering the word of God and seeking to bring people to Christ and build up the body of Christ. I pray this site will have a great impact upon the church and give it resources that are desperately needed to walk in the life and power of the Spirit.

We are not a non-profit

Second, this is not a non-profit ministry. At some point, I will be forming a Limited Liability Company in the State of North Dakota in order to protect my family’s personal assets. I'm doing this because it is the easiest and quickest way for me to get this ministry started.

Suzette and I may start a non-profit ministry in the future. It will take some time for us to figure out how to do it and the steps we must take once it is started. We are in the beginning stages of researching this option.

I am not sure if Experiencing His Victory will come under our new non-profit or not at this point. We can only see what the Lord has in store for that as we continue on the journey. One step at a time.

We will monetize the site at some point

Third, I do plan on monetizing this site in the future. It will be a source of income for Suzette and me so that we will be free to do the ministry. As the site grows there will be more and more costs involved. The need to hire people to help with things like editors for books, book covers, book interior design, podcast editing, transcripts, video editing, etc.

Expanding the team will be a challenge for me. I do believe that I need help and that my time can better be spent creating awesome content for the site. Too many hours are spent on editing, formatting, and other things that are important, but do not require my time and effort. It should be interesting.

Your giving would be a gift

Fourth, since we are not a non-profit organization, there will be no tax benefits whatsoever when you give. Your gift will be a gift of love and support.

We are asking that if you desire to give that you give us a gift. The government allows individuals to give gifts to friends or family up to $14,000 a year. The means that Suzette and I could receive up to $14,000 each for the year, for a total of $28,000. Crazy!

When giving this gift you understand that there are no benefits that can come from your giving. You cannot expect free books (unless they are available to everyone), free access to the membership site, or any other benefits from your giving. This is 100% a gift.

IRS rules on gifts

Important things to consider from the IRS website (click here to see for yourself):
◆ A gift is “Any transfer to an individual, either directly or indirectly, where full consideration (measured in money or money's worth) is not received in return.”
◆ You cannot receive any tax credits for the gift.
◆ Gifts are not taxable if the “Gifts that are not more than the annual exclusion for the calendar year.”
◆ “The annual exclusion for 2014, 2015, and 2016 is $14,000.”

How can I give a gift if I want to?

I will give you two ways to give. If you have a better way, then certainly use it.

The old-fashioned way

For those of you who are technically challenged and stay as far away from the internet as possible, you could send a check. That seems pretty straight forward. Here is our address:

Terry & Suzette Tuinder
514 N 4th St
Grand Forks, ND 58203

If you are computer challenged skip the next part and scroll through the email until you see a line of ten of these symbols *.

The super-high-tech-I-love-technology way.

I Have a Pay Pall Account

If you have a Pay Pal account with a verified checking account, you can just click this link paypal.me/terrytuinder and in four easy clicks of the button you can send money to us.

Here are the steps

Click 1 - Click the link above.
Click 2 - Enter the amount your desire to send and click “send money”
Click 3 - Click “sign in” and enter your account email and password
Click 4 - Enter a message if you want to. Click “sending money now”
Your’e Finished - You should see a screen saying “You’ve sent $___ to Terry”

Super easy. Both of us will receive an email from Pay Pal. Mine will tell me I received your gift. Yours will say that money was taken out of your account.

I have Pay Pal Account, but do not have a verified checking account.

Pay Pal gives several reasons why you might want to get your bank account verified. Just click here to find out more.

Just follow the instructions in the link below and you will verify your checking account and be able to use Pay Pal like your debit card, but without your debit card number being revealed. This provides extra protection on any of your online or in-store purchases.

I don’t have a Pay Pal account but would like to start one.

This is not as hard as your might think. It will take a few moments to do, but once it is finished you will have an account ready for any further purchases or gifts.

To start an account make sure you have your checking account information ready, click on the link below, and in the upper righthand part of the screen Click “Sign Up”

https://www.paypal.com/home

Fill in the requested information.

To start the process of verifying your checking account make sure that you have your electronic bank information (your user name and password for online banking, your routing and account numbers). The following link will show you step by step what you need to do to get through the verification process.

Whew! I know that this new electronic stuff can be a process, but once it is done, it is done!

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I know I am an over achiever and probably put too much information in this email, but I want to make it as easy as possible for you.

If you have any questions or any difficulty in any of the above processes, please call me at 701-317-0527.

Have an awesome day.

Terry
