Why Experiencing His Victory?

Welcome to Experiencing His Victory

Hey, thanks for coming by to see what Experiencing His Victory (EHV) is all about. I thought in this first post I would answer some of the questions you might have about this site, like who is it for, what topics will you cover, who I am, why I am doing this?

Who is Experiencing His Victory designed for?

Everything in this site will come from a Christian perspective. If you are hungry for God and want to grow in your relationship with Him, then you are in the right place.

Experiencing His Victory is the site for you if:

  • You want to learn more about God.
  • You want to grow in your relationship with God.
  • You know there is more to experience in your walk with God.
  • You feel like you’ve hit an invisible barrier in your life and don’t know why.
  • Your heart is wounded and in need of healing.
  • You are wanting to learn God’s steps for experiencing His victory.

What is the Focus of Experiencing His Victory?

The main focus of Experiencing His Victory is healing and deliverance. God’s goal for your life is that you be transformed into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18). The Bible is filled with so many wonderful promises that God has given us through Jesus.

But there is a problem. I noticed that many believers struggle in their walks with God. They want to move forward with God, but are hindered by stuff in their lives. Maybe this is true for you. Are you experiencing any of the following?

  • Are you carrying excess family baggage from your childhood?
  • Do you have wounds from the past that are affecting your life today?
  • Are you experiencing overwhelming or underlying feelings of guilt, shame, rejection, condemnation, self-hatred, unworthiness, anger, fear, etc.?
  • If you were to take a moment to monitor your thoughts, do you have any ungodly thoughts about yourself or others plaguing your mind?
  • Have you made any inner vows, like “I’ll never trust another person again” or “I’ll never let anyone hurt me again.”?
  • Is there anyone in your life that you need to forgive?

If so, then Experiencing His Victory is the place for you. I want to help people grow in their relationship with God. I want people to experience the freedom and victory available through Jesus. If you can relate to any of the things listed above, then I want to help you.

I want to help you experience God’s wholeness and peace. I want you to experience and walk in His freedom.

What Are Your Future Goals?

Here are some of the major goals of this website:

  • To share the truth of God’s word for every area of your life.
  • To help you recognize and break the negative influences of your family line.
  • To heal the wounds you have experienced in life and restore wholeness.
  • To share the truth about who you are in Christ.
  • To expose any ungodly beliefs you may have and help you receive God’s truth.
  • To help you become a forgiving person.
  • To help you experience His victory.

This may seem like a tall order, but nothing is too difficult for God. God loves you. God has a plan for your life. God has made provision through Jesus, All the promises of God are yes and amen in Jesus.

Why Name the Site Experiencing His Victory?

Great question! I thought long and hard about the name. I wanted the name to communicate a message to everyone who comes to this site will remember. It is all about experiencing His Victory.

Experiencing

My initial thought was to call the site Experience His Victory. I want people to experience His victory. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that experience was not the right word.

The word experience could describe something that happened only once or a long time ago. That is not what I want on this site. I don’t want you to come to the site and have a single experience with God. I want you Experiencing His Victory on a continuing basis.

The word experiencing speaks to the present. It also carries the idea of a continuing experience. I want you to experience His victory on an on-going basis. I want you to moment by moment be experiencing His Victory.

The difference between the two words is huge. One speaks of a singular experience. The other of a continual experiencing. I am thankful for the things I have experienced in the past, but I want to be experiencing God’s victory in my life on a consistent, daily basis.

His

I want to experience the victory that Christ won on my behalf. I don’t want to depend upon my own wisdom, my own strength, or my own righteousness. I want everything that God has to give me through Jesus. That is the power behind the word His.

His Benefits on Your Behalf

When Jesus went to the cross He took all your sin, guilt, shame, condemnation, and death. When He rose again He gave you new life. Look at the wonderful benefits He gives if you accept Him:

  • You are born again to a living hope (1 Peter 1:3).
  • You are redeemed from the curse.
  • You are forgiven and reconciled to God.
  • You are righteous before God.
  • You are adopted into the family of God, I am a child of God.
  • You have everything pertaining to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
  • You are no longer a slave to sin.
  • You have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
  • You have authority over all the works of the enemy in my life.

These are just a few of the incredible blessings that are available to you through Jesus Christ. I want everything that He has made available to me. All of these blessings were paid for in full by Jesus. I want Him and I want what He has to give me. How about you?

Laying Down Your Righetousness for His Righteousness

The Apostle Paul says it better than I can. He said:

7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:7-14)

When it all comes down to it, I want what Jesus can supply for my life over what I can supply for myself. How about you? Are you ready to let go of your way of doing things for His way? Are you ready to give up the stuff that is hindering you and receive what Jesus has for you?

Victory

Christ has won the victory and given it to you. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says, “But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Wahoo! God gives us the victory that Christ won.

This victory is not just for “super saints”, it is available to each and every person who comes to Christ. You have the victory of Christ available to you right this very moment. Jesus doesn't have favorites. He is an equal opportunity blesser.

Jesus won the victory and allows you to participate in the results. No matter what happens in your life, God is with you. God loves you. Just remember the encouraging words of the Apostle Paul, “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).

You are created by God to be an overcomer. You overcome by the blood of Jesus and your faith in Him as your savior. Listen to what the word of God says:

And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
(Revelation 12:11)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
(1 John 5:4-5)

That is what Experiencing His Victory is all about. Helping you to continually experience the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How Do You Plan to Do It?

Initially, I want to provide high-quality blog articles at least once a week. There will also be an audio version of the article available on the website and in iTunes called Experiencing His Victory Audio Blog.

Articles will cover a wide variety of issues within the area of healing and deliverance. Topics such as the authority of the believer, barriers to spiritual growth, steps to freedom, victory over specific areas of struggle (e.g., guilt, rejection, fear, etc.), and other related issues.

In addition, the site will provide guides and checklists that you can download right onto your own computer to read or print at your leisure. I created a five-page pdf called Eight Steps to Experiencing His Victory Checklist. It describes the process you can go through to receive healing and freedom in areas of your life. Click here to get it.

Once the blog is up and going well, the plan is to expand the usefulness of the site by providing email mini-courses, audio and video mini-courses, and full-length video courses on various aspects of healing and deliverance.

At some point, I hope to start a membership site that will allow interaction between me and other members around the topic of healing and deliverance. My wife, Suzette will be an important part of this adventure. We will see how the Lord leads.

So now you know of some of my hopes and desires for this site. I pray you will stick around for the journey.

Who Are You to Be Teaching This Stuff?

Smart question to ask. You want to know something about the person behind the site.

My name is Terry Tuinder. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in May of 1979. That means that at the time of writing this post I have know the Lord for thirty-seven years. I’ve been a pastor for over thirty-one years, have an earned Doctor of Ministry degree from The King’s University, and have been an online university professor since 2008.

In addition,I have been involved in the ministry of Cleansing Stream for over nineteen years. I have participated in 113 retreats in that time, ninety-two of which I was the retreat leader.

All the things listed above are an important part of who I am as a person, but the last two things I will share with you are the most important to know.

First, the reason that I am sharing this information with you is because Jesus has delivered me from many things that hindered my walk with Him. I come from a background that left me scarred and wounded. I was filled with anger, guilt, shame, insecurity, and pain, to name a few.

When I came to the Lord He began the process of healing and deliverance in my life. My life has dramatically changed through the ministry of healing and deliverance. I want you to experience the same freedom through Jesus.

Second, the Lord has called me very specifically to the ministry of deliverance. When Jesus returns and I stand before Him, I want to hear the words “Well done good and faithful servant.” That got me thinking about my life.

I sought the Lord over an extended period of time asking Him what He was going to hold me accountable for. We narrowed it down to three main areas of responsibility. I am to:

  1. Faithfully teach the word of God
  2. Train leaders
  3. Minister in the area of deliverance

The ministry taking place through this website will fulfill all three of these areas. The main focus of this site is on healing and deliverance. All the teaching materials will be based on the word of God, for that is our sure foundation. Through participating in this site you will grow in your relationship with God and help others experience the same freedom you receive.
