Who You Are in Christ: You Are a Fruit Bearer

If you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, then you are a fruit bearer.

Jesus said:

16 You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. 17 This I command you, that you love one another.

There is No One Like You

His words are powerful and tell a truth about you. You are chosen by Jesus to bear fruit. You are uniquely gifted by God. There’s no one in the world like you. When God created you the mold was broken. You have gifts, talents, and dispositions that God has placed within you to perfectly equip you bear fruit.

So often it is easy to look at the gifts of others and feel like you have nothing to offer, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. You have what it takes to perfectly fulfill God’s purpose through you with the help of the Holy Spirit,

The secret to fruit bearing is find out who you are in Christ and simply do what comes natural to you in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. I call this being naturally supernatural. God’s not calling you to be someone else. He’s calling you to be yourself in the fullness of His Spirit.

You Have Much to Offer

It’s so easy to look at your weaknesses and give reasons why God can’t use you. I have a challenge for your today. Sit down with a pencil and a piece of paper and write down all of your strengths and gifts that God has placed in your life. Try to write at least ten, if you have more, then keep on writing.

Take a moment and ask the Lord how you can put your gifts and talents He’s given you into practice so you can bear fruit for His kingdom. Remember that His kingdom work is not limited to just the church and what some consider to be spiritual things. Your gifts are to bear fruit in every area of your life.

Isn't it exciting? God has appointed you to bear fruit. He wants to see you succeed in life and bless the lives of others. You are a carrier of God’s life and you can bring forth fruit because Jesus has given you the authority and ability to do so.

Did you notice that Jesus wants your fruit to remain. Yesterday I did a funeral for a person I didn't know. The room was filled with people whose lives she had touched.

You Touch More People Than You Know

You may not realize just how many people you touch over your lifetime. I just read an estimate of how many people the average person will meet in his or her life. The number may astound you. If you are an average person, you will meet around 10,000 people in your lifetime.

Sure some of these you may only meet once, but I have met people once who have touched my life and bore fruit in my life. I want to encourage you that you are touching more people than you can imagine.

One powerful way that you can impact the lives of others is through prayer. Jesus says that God wants to give you whatever you ask in Jesus’ name. Praying in Jesus’ name is to pray for His will to be done in the life of the one for whom you pray.

You are inviting God to work in that person’s life. You already know that God’s heart is for them and He great things planned for them. He’s looking for someone to speak forth His purposes in that person’s life.

All You Need is Love

When it all comes down to it, God is asking you to love people with His love. If you make it your goal to show forth the love of God to every person you come in contact with every day of your life, you’ll be amazed at what God will do.

The love of God is the most powerful thing in the world. It changes everything. You have the love of God within you. Share it freely with everyone you meet.
